In her role as Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Suburban Health Organization (SHO), Tavonna Harris Askew provides legal leadership and strategic counsel to SHO and its member organizations. Her work supports regulatory compliance and legal integrity across the organization, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, community-based care.

Tavonna’s responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic counsel on regulatory compliance, risk management, employment law, privacy and data security, captive/risk retention, and vendor risk management.
• Leading the negotiation and drafting of complex contractual agreements.
• Managing multifaceted legal issues and advancing compliance education throughout the organization.
• Collaborating with external counsel on specialized and high-stakes legal matters.

Tavonna is also involved in promoting inclusive and high-integrity environments and advancing legal standards within the healthcare sector. Her role supports operational excellence and innovation across legal, compliance, and organizational functions.
