As SHO’s Long Term Care Educator, Chris works to develop and provide training to the staff at Long Term Care facilities in an effort to help improve the clinical competency of staff and the overall quality of care for the residents. Chris helps review quality indicators with facility and hospital leadership. Based on her findings she helps develop action plans to improve areas of opportunity. She also helps facilities with regulatory survey preparation and specialty program development. Chris also tracks CMS 5 Star quality data and shares it with hospital leadership. In addition to these responsibilities, Chris helps with planning quarterly education events and provides assistance with continuing education as a nurse reviewer.
