Messenger Model Contracting
As a SHO member physician, you are eligible to participate in our Messenger Model to contract with payors on a non-risk basis.
Messenger Model contracting offers the following benefits:
- Background analysis of the payor performed by SHO staff
- Review of the contract language by SHO’ s legal council and experienced contracting staff
- Negotiation of the non-financial terms of the agreement
- Analysis of the payor’s fee schedule
- Credentialing delegated to SHO that reduces your paperwork
- Ability to “opt-out” and negotiate directly with a payor at anytime
Upon SHO’s execution of a payor agreement, you will receive the following information:
- Summary of the key contract terms
- Summary of the proposed fee schedule
- Election to Participate form for you to “opt-in” to the agreement
