Suburban Health Organization’s Physician Recruitment Team includes:
Tom Farrington, MS – Manager of Physician Recruitment
Tom has worked in health care in the Indianapolis area for over 20 years. He has been a physician recruiter since 2003. As an Indianapolis native, he has broad knowledge of central Indiana and the area’s health care systems.
Tom belongs to the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and is active as a member of the Marketing and Membership Committee. He also serves as the committee chairman for the Promotions Committee of the Indiana Society of Physician Recruiters. His various roles in healthcare support his current focus on relationships and helping others make connections, which he has been doing at Suburban Health Organization since joining in 2003.
Sandy Whisman, RN, MSN – Senior Physician Recruitment Consultant
Sandy has over 30 years of healthcare experience and has worked for hospitals and health systems of all sizes. She has been involved in physician recruitment since 1987. She has an extensive understanding of and knowledge base of the healthcare systems in central Indiana.
Sandy belongs to the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and is an active participant on both the Website and Journal committees and serves as a mentor to new physician recruiters. She is also a member of the Indiana Society of Physician Recruiters and serves as the organization’s Vice-President. She loves helping candidates make the connection to the right opportunities, which she has been doing at Suburban Health Organization since joining in 2002.
Jane Strange, ARRT, CNMT – Physician Recruitment Consultant
Jane has over 20 years of healthcare experience and working with physicians in a variety of roles. She has held positions in operations, clinical and sales capacities in the industry and has an extensive knowledge of the central Indiana healthcare market. She has been a physician recruiter since 2006.
Jane belongs to the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and serves as a member of the Regional Development Committee as well as the Indiana Society of Physician Recruiters. She enjoys the relationship building work she does with physicians, hospitals and training programs which she has been doing at Suburban Health Organization since joining in 2006.
Mona Hansen, BS, SPHR – Physician Recruitment Consultant
Mona has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Her experience has been in Physician Recruitment and Human Resources at a large healthcare system in the Upper Midwest prior to joining Suburban Health Organization in January 2008.
Mona is a member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and is a member of the Indiana Society of Physician Recruiters. Mona has a solid understanding of the healthcare environment and enjoys building strong relationships with physicians and hospitals.
