SHO/Practice Management Institute Event Brings Free Education to Practice Managers

SHO practice managers gathered for a free continuing education session at the Westview Healthplex on Wednesday, January 27th. SHO collaborated with the Practice Management Institute (PMI) to present Coding and Medicare Update: 2010 and Current Trends and Issues in Practice Management. Practice managers were able to learn information about the changes in coding, trends, and new regulations with HIPAA and ARRA that are going impact their practices. The event was well attended by 45 practice managers, approximately half from SHO practices.

Attendees heard from an expert about what they should be focusing on within their practices and what some of the new regulations really mean from a practical perspective. The event also provided a networking opportunity for the practice managers to ask questions while sharing best practices.
