CIO Council

Comprised of the top IT executives from each SHO hospital, the CIO Council conceives of, implements and manages IT-related initiatives aimed at collaboration among SHO owners. These initiatives may involve the creation, sharing, or leveraging of people, process, technology, or knowledge.

Their goal is to provide SHO hospitals with improvements in:

• Organizational efficiency
• Quality
• Financial position
• Other benefits consistent with SHO and Hospital missions

Ongoing initiatives include:

• Investigation and evaluation of emerging technologies
• Investigation of shared infrastructure to facilitate disaster recovery, enterprise backups, etc.
• Annual IT benchmarking
